Course Description:
What's design vs art? "Good art inspires. Good design motivates." Unlike art where the artist usually starts with a blank canvas, design has a purpose - to motivate the audience to do something. Good designs are those that effectively communicate their message and motivate their consumers to carry out a task.

In this Mastery course, you will learn stuff like:

  1. Design - Colour theory, typography, lines and shapes and how it links to a brand

  2. Design Thinking - How to understand users and problem-solve for them through design

  3. Rebrand for the new, larger Grab, including creating marketing materials

Because we believe resilience and growth mindset is super critical, students will also go through 4 hours of coaching by our mindfulness coach, where they learn about their strengths (and how to maximize them), positive and growth mindset, and how not to let stress break them.

Cancellation Policy:
We want you to buy our courses with confidence, so we offer a hassle-free 100% money back guarantee. Just email (within 24 hours after the first class) and you will get your full refund within 5 working days. No small print, no questions asked.

Lesson Plan

Do you know what is art and what's design? Psst: It's about the "motivation". To kick-off, you will also learn about yourself and the power of positivity

You will learn to use lines, shapes and symmetry, by doing a portrait drawing.

Today, you will learn about color theory and why some brands use certain colors for their logo. You will create a picture of your own and tell us why you chose those colors!

Did you know that font types play a big part in the viewer's reaction? Think of whether you like boxy fonts, or cursive? Did you ever want to create a font of your own? Today you will create one that relates to your personal brand

Have you noticed how cartoons evolved from 2D (flat) to 3D (more realistic)? You'll enjoy creating perspective drawing in 3D today

You'll learn about design thinking (empathy and definition) - how to understand users before designing. You will also learn about your feelings and how to regulate disruptive emotions

Coming up with ideas can be easy for some people, harder for others. But there are tips and tools! Today, you will learn the different ways of coming up with ideas for your branding project.

You'll learn how designers apply synthesis and association when they create a design, and you'll apply it yourself!

You will learn about craftsmanship and use it in the finalisation of your branding project.

Aren't you excited to show your design ideas to others? Here, you'll learn to create marketing collaterals for your branding project.

Almost done! You'll be completing prototyping tests for your branding project.

Finally - the highlight - you will present your branding proposal to a corporate. You will also go through your strengths finder test and learn how to leverage on them
