Do You Want to Change the World?13-17 Years Old | Share Each Mastery Course is 12 lessons x 2 hours each lesson.
Dates: Every Thursday (starting 3 May), 7-9pm.
Have you ever watched Shark Tank? Or heard of the lemonade stand?
Simply put, entrepreneurship means starting a business. It can be a product (like slime or bracelets), a service (like babysitting or walk-your-dog), or an app or game.
Entrepreneurs change the community around them, and soon, you'll be changing the world! (Sounds like a dream? It's not! It was enthusiastic young people who created Facebook, Instagram, Grab, Carousell and more!)
In this course, you will learn how to identify a problem your community faces, come up with ideas for a solution, form your team and design a brand for your business, create a business plan - how much to price it, how to market it; and finally, pitch your proposal!
Plus, you'll be working on a corporate challenge presented by Carousell!
You will also enjoy 3 lessons of coaching by our mindfulness coach, where you learn about yourself, your strengths (and how to maximize them), practising positivity and how not to let stress break you.
Cancellation Policy: We offer a no-questions-asked refund if you do not like the course after taking your first lesson. You just have to request through email@example.com within 24 hours after your first lesson.
21st Century Skills
Hard skills can only take you so far. Which is why we weaved key 21st century skills into all our Mastery courses.
Problem-Solving & Innovation
Today, you will learn what it means to be an entrepreneur - and if you are one! You'll also learn about positive mindsets
You will identify a market niche (a potential area no one is servicing), and come up with a possible start-up idea in that space
Are there any competitors? Who are they? And is the market big enough for you and your competitors?
Is your business something that people have already done, and you're doing it the same way? Or are you putting a spin and creating a different solution to an existing need?
We live in a digital world. Is your business idea old-school? Can you use technology to improve or completely revolutionize it?
Why is branding important? That's how you differentiate yourself! Entrepreneurs face alot of competing thoughts, so you will also learn about your feelings and how to regulate disruptive emotions
Don't worry, there are tools to help you along as an entrepreneur. Today you will learn to apply the different modes of design thinking in creating your start-up
An idea is great, but how do you price it, make money, and how do you market it? You'll learn all that, and come up with the ideal business model for your start-up!
You can only make money if you have customers! But customers are a tricky bunch, be it teenagers, or adults! You will learn how to find customers - so that you know how to sell to them
Interviews aren't scary! They are essential - you'll learn how to conduct research, ask the right questions, and understand them
This is the best part - you'll be putting together your business pitch, from start to end!
You will be recording your business pitch for your start-up. Plus, we end with you going through your strengths finder results and learn how to leverage on them
Our Mastery courses are jam-packed with cool projects, so that you can see your learnings come to life!
Solve Carousell's Trust Concern
Have you heard of Carousell - the cool app which allows anyone to buy and sell easily, especially old stuff you don't want or clothes you don't like? While it's a great app, Carousell has faced concerns over safety and security - is the seller a fraud? Will I lose money transferred? In this Mastery course, you will help them resolve this!
